Addicted to IQ tests Thursday, September 28, 2006
i have been doing alot of IQ tests... because...
it is addictive hahaha

ray sent me this today...
http://www.iqtest.com/prep.html?PHPSESSID=7401ca8d4879afc3728153e7282c7240

and my result was 115... which comes under the intelligence level of "above average"
http://www.iqtest.com/faq.html?PHPSESSID=7401ca8d4879afc3728153e7282c7240#chart

but again he has surpassed me with a 125... and was classified under "gifted" only 2.3% of the test takers were classified here...

how can lah!!!~ grrrrrrr

p/s: my mistake!!! hahaha... ray's result turns out to be just like mine "above average" mehehehehehehe!!!

yester-DAY turned out to be... Tuesday, September 26, 2006
crap!!!~ i was asked for a second interview + observation at the advertising firm... it was terrible!!! first i was lack of sleep because some meanie out there wouldn't let me off to bed early -_-"' then i had to wake up at miserable 6.50am to bathe-breakfast-*ahem*-getting ready-makeup and be out from home by 8.20am to arrive before 9am at the workplace in case i caught up in the jam... don't wanna leave a poor impression on my second interview...
arrived there early... paid a full 4bucks parking rate for the entire day... entered the office at 9 dot... the first thing they handed out to me was the freaking MENSA test... go try it... imagine i had to keep myself awake by drinking coffee and of all the things they made me do a test so early in the morning? try doing this and see what ur score is... mind leaving ur scores on the comment box? i don't know the scores then so i came home and find this on the net... sad to say i'm only "somewhat intelligent" =( ray's categorized under "intelligent" =(
about 10-ish in the morning we were assigned to several team leaders and the day started with observation... it took up the entire day... by the end of it... i felt like crap/sien/moodless/tired/and blisters on my feet... what's worst was that i had to go for yet another 10minutes subjective test and a second round of interview like.what.the. what i heard from the leader i was assigned to, told me a total of 35 who came for the interview only 7 were picked... and from the 7... the management will again re-select
the whole process took me till 5-ish in the evening... and to conclude... i did not take up the offer... i rejected before he does the selection... the final question of the test stated somewhat like when will u be able to start working? and i left it blank because by then i had a definite decision to not join the company
i was called into his room... and he was asking me... what have i learn throughout the day... if i were to be given training will i see myself leading a team... and all sorts of questions... after all that he said "to cut the story short... why didn't u fill in the last question? what happen?" so i told him i had second thoughts about it and that i don't see this as a prospect for me... and he was like "you told me u could start work on the 25th and that was why i gave u a try" then he later added that "i would've expected more or less cos u work for slimming centres/beauty... but anyhow was thinking of giving u a try" i was like... what? i only started working for that in a couple of weeks ago... it's not that i cannot endure hardship or what not... i can if i like the scope of work that i'm doing... he further mentioned that he does not bother to even asked the person in for a 2nd interview if they leave the last question blank but he said to give me shot to know the reason why i left it that way
on my 1st interview he had asked what was the reason that i could only begin working on the 25th and so i explained that i had a part time job on the 22nd-24th and that i couldn't break the promise i had made... he then checked his calendar and asked if i will be free on the 18th... i said yes... then it was on the 15th and also the last day for all interviews (or that's what i heard from the receptionist at that time) i was expecting a call from them on the 18th but there were no calls for the whole week... i thought of giving up on this job... who knows they ringed me on the 23rd for a 2nd interview on the 25th... and because of this... i may be wrong but i hope he did not postponed the interview+observation originally from the 18th to the 25th because of me... since it wasn't i the only one there... there were 7 of us... i feel guilty lah... plus the leader i'm under with treats me real nice, giving words of encouragement... and the manager is the hottie i told u guys about =( aiiiieeee if the job's not meant for me it's not meant to be
and so i left without knowing if i was even selected in the first place but it was alright no hard feelings for both parties... on my way to retrieve the car... i had a shock of my life when i found my car BEEN MOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL PARKING SPACE TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!... WTF??? WHO THE *toot* HAD MOVED MY CAR FROM THE VERTICAL PARKING BAY TO THE SIDE PARKING ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD? and for a split second i was stoning over there thinking if i was having a severe case of amnesia due to the lacking of sleep i had... i quickly ran to my car and inspected the whole of it... no additional dents or scracthes... i peeped into my car and found the GEAR LOCK WAS IN PLACE... LIKE BIG QUESTION MARK??? i stayed there for somewhile and think okay... like doing deep thinking... if someone were to steal my car i'm sure they would've park somewhere far and not stupidly park at the opposite side and be kind enough to put the lock back...
so i tried to open my car doors using the alarm it wouldn't work, i had to manually open it with the keys... only to find out the car wouldn't start up... i was so fucked up then... i was tired/restless/moodless/feet filled with blisters/on heels/hot sun and the darn thing wouldn't start!!!~ called dad, dad said he'll be on his way since he's already on his way heading home... but how long??? called ray to rant and thank you so much he futher added on to my worry when he mentioned DON'T TELL ME THEY PUT ILLEGAL DEALINGS IN UR CAR AS A MEAN OF TRANSPORTING IT... my heartbeat stopped for a few sec... like oh-my-gawd... this cannot CANNOT be happening to me... i cannot be so suay until this could happen right... he said that was the only logical reason he could think of since nothing was stolen and that my car had been moved from the original spot (he did not heard me when i said it was moved to only at the opposite side of the road and not some few blocks away)
after hearing that i freaked out big time and proceeded to check underneath the seats the boot... and i was like shit... i just left so many of my finger prints on it... then dad's incoming call i hunged up and told dad about the situation swearing the crap out of it worrying and freaking out at the same time... soon a @#%#@~^#$@^!#$&#Q% mechanic walked towards me and asked if it was my car... apparently i blocked their shop so they had to remove my car battery to move my car... WHAT THE F**K??? so i said to him "if this is the case, wouldn't it be easy to steal cars" and u know what the *toot* the person said to me "don't worry we won't steal ur type of cars" WHAT THE FUCK?!!!!~~ HOW DARE U INSULT MY CAR IN FRONT OF ME!!!~ I KNOW IT'S OLD AND SMALL AND RUSTY AND UGLY AND THAT THE PAINT'S CHIPPING OFF AT EVERY CORNER... BUT WHO GAVE U THE RIGHTS TO SAY SUCH A THING ABOUT MY CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND MY CAR???!!!! moreover u're in the wrong to MOVE MY CAR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!!
i seriously do not remember parking on their red lanes but a lane next to it... dad later found a piece of frame missing from the window pane on the driver's door and went back to enquire about it today... they told my dad that i was parking on their red lanes... quite a heated arguement but couldn't do much cos they deny the fact of losing/misplacing the piece of frame... i don't know if i did park in their red lanes but i'm sure i did not... either way no one knows the truth now... so in conclusion life is a piece of shit when u feel shitty from the start of the day, it just piles up throughout till the end of it... does it make any sense at all?
on a happier note... on the same day which i was burdened by the shits... i got this baby =) i'm officially living on grasses and dry leaves from today onwards

that left me nothing to do on my free time there... thank goodness for my story book... which i have yet to finish it since april... but because of the plentiful free time... i have about 60 more pages to go... and how could u not munch anything while reading... so the genius side of me brought along my remaining cornpuffs which i've struggled to finish cos' i don't like it and regretted buying it... i had it while reading... together with vanilla coke which one of the hotel guys bought for me... so u see my workstation is filled with junks apart from the work stuffs like stationeries and vouchers... felt abit pai seh since all i did was sitting eating reading and sudoku-ing
took home some mini souvenirs with me...

i'm going crazy working there... i felt so redundant!!! =*(
i played sudoku again... i continued yesterday's unfinished sudoku and found out from today's paper that it was wrong... gave up and played super sudoku instead... it killed my time till the end of the day in which i've solved 2 complete ones
it's not really a good feeling when u get paid and not doing anything most of the time... i would rather be trained on the spot and attend to customers
down another and one more to go

i'm oh-so-tired... not that i was busy... it was the fact that i was so free and got bored of it... i sudoku-ed till 10pm... and still... did not managed to settle the whole darn thing... bugger... it was rated a difficulty level of 4 out of 5... i had liquided the whole puzzle twice and still can't get it done by the end of the day =( i thought i like getting paid and not doing anything... in fact i hate it... i so hate it very much... time passes like crap and it made my appearance seems so useless, everyone elses were busy attending to customers while i can't do anything until they have sign up for the package to redeem the voucher... aieee down one day.... two more to go...
my mobilephone is officially conking... just the start of the day... the bar dropped by one... by noon it touched yellow... after a call it was red... and for the record it... reseted itself for at least 10 times... major problem here... i'm so gonna get myself a new phone... i needed one urgently imagine having called for interviews and the phone restarted or worst it switched off by itself and i didn't know about it
i'm at HALL 2 exhibition centre at midv if u guys wanna drop by... oh yesssss... during midday... while i was working an emcee's voice in the background sounded way too familiar... and in my head i was like..." nooOOOOooo it can't be... or can it? nnooooo it cannot be"... so i went out to patt abit and memang it was the emcee that i worked with during my last roadshow

Drilling the driller Tuesday, September 19, 2006
thanks to someone i got addicted to Mr. Driller and had been drilling most of my time away... which caused my left index finger sore like crap as i only had to hit the 'A' button to drill... fingers on my right hitting the arrow keys weren't so bad... so instead of making only my index finger sore i've decided to spread the soreness to the rest of my other four fingers, i changed the settings of button 'A' to 'Spacebar' it is no doubt a better idea but playing continuosly does make my fingers numb a little...
i was watching Fight Back to School 3 last night, a film with stephen chow in it... i didn't know there was a part 3... but after a few minutes into the movie i realised i've watched it before just that i did not know it was titled that... in the midst of it ray called just to "inform" me that he has passed the stage of 8000+ ft... like. what. the. i was only at 3900+ ft when i heard he was at 4100+ ft two days ago... and now it had increased by double? like.what.the.
sure lah geram right... so right after the movie ended i quickly ran up the stairs and begun my game (yeah i know damn kiasu geek right)... i told him to give me two days to beat his record... but of course with my quickie fingers and possession of great skills i beat his record in an hour's time, think i could score more if he did not call midway and got me distracted while talking *boooo*

I have... Thursday, September 14, 2006
not sleeping to my fullest lately... sleeping late in the night and waking up early in the morning... not because i had finally gotten myself a job BUT i have been an unpaid chauffeur to my sis... ironically this is what i had to do because i am not being productive whatsoever at home... and staying at home is not an option... my mom's getting rid of me to the outside world... it seems odd but she is the one being all stressed up in getting me a job rather than i being the one... yes i know i should wake up and face the reality that i am indeed no longer a student and in order for me to survive i do need a job in time to come... arrghhh...
in the past few days i was looking through the newspaper circling jobs that i am interested or matches my scope... and just yesterday i went to snap a passport size pic to attach with my resume... was very VERY reluctant to do so, have been procrastinating about it till my mom said this to me "did u not plan to take ur pic on purpose? so that u can procrastinate longer and having the excuse not to send ur resume?" so yeah i forced myself out to snap it looks horrible as usual then off to yoga and body combat class... just the other day i went for energy aerobic only to realise that i cannot dance at all... i suuck big time okay...
met up with ben for lunch at centre point mcDs, yum cha awhile at kayu and back again at subang to pick my sis... life of a jobless person*~

Glutton Day - Chili's & California Kitchen* Monday, September 11, 2006
so i thought i would hibernate at home today looking through the newspapers for jobs or at least to the gym later in the evening but plans changed because jo messaged me at 1pm asking if i would join her dinner and later with nel klcc... and so i did
took me an hour plus to arrive klcc... accompanied her for awhile while she had her haircut at fusion till 3-ish... had a stroll at isetan cos i have not been in there for eons... while i was in there a piece of denim couture clothing caught my eyes and i realised that every pieces of it were made up of the same design with different structures... really cool... jo saw a line of patchwork pieces so i went over to join her only to realised that the patchwork designs looked really familiar especially on the couture piece... it didn't ring a bell till the person came over to attend to us... curiousity leads to me asking if she was from the MIFA... and yes she turns out to be Venie Tee who has won the 'most promising designer' & 'best casualwear award' 2005... honestly i don't quite like her designs cos' it was mostly made from patches from all sorts of fabrication... then it was on tv... till i saw the real pieces... i take back what i have just said... really gotta salute her for the uniqueness of her design - the delicateness and refineness of the sewing, pacthworks, materials, and the selections of similar but different patterns of fabrics to form the patchwork which made it not of but a sense of similarities... okay so i don't know what i have just said but yes it is beautiful... though i wouldn't buy it but it is a piece to admire about... most are made of cotton if i'm not mistaken or at least the one in the couture pieces
anyways... moving on... i thought we wouldn't be having dinner with nel hence we had it at Chili's about 4-ish... i had burger while jo had her share of salad...
my share of humongous medium-well burger serve with fries
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
and jo's moutaineous salad - pita bread + cheese, chicken slices, cheese, mayo, vegetables, beans, corns, etc
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
was to meet nel at G2000 at 6pm but he wasn't there so we wandered for awhile took a peep at G2000 and there he was waiting... dropped by a few shops to get jo's digicam and since nel hadn't had his dinner we dropped in California Kitchen for another round of dinner at 8-ish
maincourse - fettucine with garlice cheese/cream sauce
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
appetizer - medditeranean something, with fillings of mushroom, tomatoes, cheese... (i think)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
dessert - hot chocolate brownie
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
yeah we had our maincourse served before the appetizer because initially we thought it would be in large portion... but turns out to be not... so we made a second order... the brownie is served hot with ice-cream and whip cream... it is just awesome man!!!~
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
my tummy don't feel too good now... i looked like a 3 months old pregnant lady by the end of the day!!!~ the food was awesome though!!! =)

Of Mashed Potatoes & Haggis Sunday, September 10, 2006
sunday afternoon... i managed to cook for my family creamy mashed potatoes and pan-fried haggis complements from mf in the previous gathering... mashed potatoes recipe was partially taken from jaimie oliver the hunky chef who made me go goo-goo-gaga over... hehe... of course i couldn't manage to follow to the exact... more or less the ingredient is there i hope...
it includes - 4 potatoes (not sure which of its kind), 1/2 cup of fresh milk (not sure if it was the right milk but this is the only milk i can find at home), black peppers (that i've taken lots from mcDs while ordering fries), few pinches of salt, and estimated amount of butter to ur choice... of course the more will make it taste yummier!
and haggis... all i did was pan-fried it and serve... i added a bit of chivas later on... as stated on the can 'for a real Scottish flavour add a "wee dram" of whisky before serving'... mom likes it, sis likes it, dad likes it, i like it!!!~ everyone is happy!!!

The Return of "The Fame" Saturday, September 09, 2006
yessssssssaaaaaaaaahhh i was complaining of the commercial which will never be aired and that my road to fame been crushed... i revived!!!~ hahaha... i'm on the newspaper... though i look horrible whatsoever... i don't care... actually i do in fact... but yeah... whatever...
i was at 1U yesterday to resume on my workout which i have not been for a long time... mom called and told me about The Star job hunting roadshow at starbucks old wing... u know the pressure parents give u when u're being unproductive... the guilt of having paid for ur education... having to waste so much time at home... having to slack... (and the list goes on) mom had finally let out the threat of not providing me allowances after the next month... so which means... i will have no cash to spend... which also means if i don't do something now... i will be living on grasses everyday by the end of october with having the remaining allowances spend on contacts solution, prepaid topups...
so since i was there... i dropped by to register at 4.15 and waited for my turn at 5pm... which i was at it, sy who was at initial state sitting on my left were asked to stand next to me looking at my screen by the photographer... and we heard something like publicity... but wasn't sure of it till he asked for her and my name... then we thought that was it... till later on the reporter came with a mini interview... i don't remember saying "...... i got here as fast as i could" or maybe i did or maybe i had mentioned in a very crappy way which she mistook to mean that... but meh couldn't care less... i'm on the newspaper!!! kjee... my fame came... like u said it could be in another form and it did... though it only lasted for awhile hahaa =p
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
for today, i finally broke my personal workout record by attending 3 classes - yoga at 7.15am, followed by step intro and 25mins of core exercise cos' i couldn't take it anymore... too tired liau one after another... gotta start toning up since i am called fat =*(
newly discovered information from my korean friend... the unknown korean dish that we were forced to consume was called "soondae" which means blood sausage in english... like ewww... after i read about it i was traumatised cos sy and i had a piece of it... no wonder it tasted odd different from any chinese sausages that we had... eww ewww eww... and my korean friend was like "i very like"
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The majority of Korea's soondae (순대) can be categorized as blood sausage. The most common type of soondae is made of potato noodle (dangmyon), barley, and pig's blood but some variants contain sesame leaves, onion, fermented soy paste (dwen-jang), sweet rice, kimchi, bean sprouts, in addition to the common ingredients [by wikipedia]

I Saw... Thursday, September 07, 2006
cheesie & jasiminne at 1U today while i was there for my informal interview with my cousin... didn't notice them at first - u know how ignorant i am... syee was the one pointing out to me when she first saw jasiminne at PDI concept store... and i turned back to double confirm... while much later on we saw both of them walking at opposite direction towards italiannies...
interview went fine... as a matter of fact it is not even an interview/screening at all... more of a get-to-know each other and negotiating the pay over lunch... wasn't planning on taking this job i guess since the pay is rather low... guess it's time to move on to a real job...
after the short lunch... we moved on to our mini casting at damansara kim... for a kit-kat sampling commercial ad... ho ho ho my big face is on the screen okay... facing the camera... one scene sitting right in front... another was behind bending with a i-am-freaking-bored-look on a guy's back but also directly facing the camera... the only disappointment was to find out that it wouldn't be aired on tv... but only to their clients before the actual commercial be casted again =*( oh well my road to fame... crushed!!!~ yes yes... go ahead and laugh your heart out!!!~ *boooo*

Delifrance & The Rib Shop* Sunday, September 03, 2006
final day of the almighty mega-sales... went parade in the noon to kill some time and also to see if i could get anything good out of the final day of the big bargain!!!~ nope... nothing except for the pair of wealth cat that i've gotten for miche's soon-to-be-opening piano centre from world of feng shui... yes lillian too's shop...

for lunch we had it at Delifrance... it has been ages since i step into there... so we had these... my lunch set consisted of pasta bolognaise + a glass of rootbeer... thanks to my student card which i did not return, i've got this set for only RM6.90 and shared it with grandma
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
dad had this beef sausage sandwhich which to me tasted alright... but he said it was too salty to finish the whole of it... probably what i had was only a piece of the cut-up sausage so it didn't taste that all salty
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
mom had bread pudding with chocolate ice-cream... the ice-cream should be vanilla lah why lah chocolate... wrong combination!!!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
makan full full... then headed home... at night for dinner... we had it at The Rib Shop... nyam nyam... i give two thmbs up!!!~
caesar salad for starters... somewhat a different kind of caesar salad cos it consists of only lettuce, bacon or some unknown fried thing and tiny slices of cheese... i thought they would have chicken meat, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes & onions...
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
dad and i had barbarian ribs... it was sooo good okay... it comes in two 3-joined ribs with mash potatoes and coleslaw as side lines... the ribs were delicious charboiled to perfection with its (or at least i think it is) bbq sauce + marmalade + honey sauce (i may be wrong hehe this is based on what i think i tasted) every table who ordered this dish eats with their hands and not fork & knife... so i followed... so did dad and mom, and granny too... believe me it is impossible to eat it using fork + knife... not to mention this is the bestest mash potatoes that i've ever eaten... so creamy... so good... and it is made of real potatoes unlike those in powdery form
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
mom and granny shared ribs 'combo' consisted of two single ribs and 2 big prawns with mash potatoes and coleslaw as side lines...
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
sis had fettucini... for dessert we had warm chocolate brownie

Hong Kong Part - V Friday, September 01, 2006
Hong Kong - Kuala Lumpur
Day 5 - 19th Aug 06'

we left our hotel last night around 9.30pm... the coach came and sent us to the airport... arrived the airport approximately 10.30pm... checked in sy's luggage and immediately went looking for a cozy spot to bunk in for the night... didn't do much... and conked out on the comfy cushioned seats...
there was a thunderstorm that night... loud thunders and heavy downpours so much so... i awoke to the announcement made that flights were delayed/cancelled due to some red alert thingy... it was freaky as they repetitively make that announcement every 10 minutes or so... the past few days i was in hong kong weather was fine and sunny all along... at most it drizzles and that was it... i was three-quarter awake then and overheard a guy spoke over the phone talking about the condition... soon after a security came up to me... not sure if he is but i think he is (since he's having some walkie talkie thingy) cos i was like erm 3/4 blind as i was not wearing my specs... he asked if i was a hongkie... and i replied no i'm a m'sian... then he further asked if i was planning on staying over at the airport... so i said yes since i will be leaving on an early flight the next day... he then in a friendly manner told me not to worry and go ahead with my sleep at the airport as it is claim to be very safe...
oh well... flight departed at 8.50am... we woke up about 7am to do last minute duty free shopping and sy purchased her perfume... initially she wanted to get a watch but it was no longer there...
what i've bought on my trip...

from this trip to hong kong... i noticed that...
hongkies live in a very hectic lifestyle... they are rude but claimed that it is their culture as the environment they live in moulded them to be what they are... they looked exactly like malaysians in terms of their dressing or looks... they have no patience in repeating things twice and if u make them do so they'll raise their voice or speak to u harshly... their boutique outlets has no changing rooms even if u plan on buying jeans/skirts/shorts/bikinis... they aren't the friendliest people around... u don't get to choose seats in a coffee-restaurant-shop-like they fit u in to wherever there's space even tumpang-ing with others without first seeking their permission... alright i realised that there is a lot of negativity in hong kong... but i can't say i did not enjoy my trip there... as a matter of fact i did... apart from the fact that i was a little afraid in asking/talking to them cos' they seem fierce and not friendly at all... i was happy during my tour around several districts... eating... enjoying the tram rides, the bus rides... and walk shop eat like the locals do
from this trip to hong kong... i learned that...
being able to read mandarin and having able to speak in cantonese is important to get u around... although some of the words they use is slightly different for example the phrase "what is the price", what we usually say is "gei dor lui" but they corrected us by saying "gei dor chin" and during dim sum they don't call fish ball as "yu tan" but something else...
by the end of my 10 days vacation i learned that...
travelling with a buddy is not always easy unless u practice "give & take" or not there will be arguements or clashing in opinions... for instances... during dim sum session sy doesn't want "bau" but i really wanted to try, she gave in and shared with me, she also gave in with the honeydew sago which she claimed to see my desperate look of wanting to order one more although her stomach couldn't take... while in korea i accompanied her all the way to itaewon just to find a money changer and left immediately after having done so to where we originally were to purchase her last minute stuff... apart from that... occasionnally because of the heat, tiredness and restlesness, got us cranky and easily annoyed yet we did not show much and be patience although what the other party did was annoying...
in addition to that, during this trip i learned to be more independant and streetwiser... not exactly much MUCH wiser in the street factor but yeah at least more than i am in m'sia i guess... hehe... i survived on just 5 tops and 5 shorts... i survived on biscuits, i survived on tight budgetting... i survived on walking long distances, i survived hopping on confusing subways... there is much to learn on trips like these... it wasn't long but it wasn't that short either... so yes all i can say is i am proud of myself and my buddy for being able to manage our own routes and followed what was planned in our research done earlier e.g. the places to visit, cuisines to try, subway lines to take, buses number time & routes, accomodations, estimated fees, estimated expenses... etc etc etc
all in all... this trip rocks biggie!!!~ =)
