3 words- food food and food... well that actually sums up to only one word... which is of course is food... who can ever denies the wonders that food brings into one's life... anyhoo... i volunteered to bring on some "special" dessert made by a person who has the expertise in it... somehow hor... it turned out... pretty bad by its presentation but it tasted the total opposite... it tasted great lah... shocking truth as to compare by the way it turned out to be went Giant hypermart around 3-ish with gene... along tagging was his mom and granny... so awkward can? like mou tuin tuin the mom and the granny pops into the car... picked up his granny at summit because... she got her eyebrows done~ i was kinda surprised really... like u know... i mean u know... the first thing that pops into my head was that she's of the same age as my granny and my granny did not tattoo her brows... but she still draws it though... with the brow liner... by maybelline... but not tattoo it... anyways soon truth to be told... his granny does not look like my grannies... she's like... say 60-ish rather young judging by the way she looks... sooooooooooooo back to my topic we shop at Giant... bought 2 baking chocs, 1 white choc and 1 bottled-up stuff which i was told that it helps hardens the choc so it would stick to the fruits some what... along we bought strawberries and 4 green apples... and i bought my other groceries like; 2 one-step pancake mixture, fresh milk, and 2 packets of instant 8 minutes pasta... sad huh... gene was like... what a slacker man... instant pasta?? "one-step" pancake?? like what?? *cringe* sorry lah... i don't cook at home mah... cos i suck... i burnt eggs... i burnt my french-toast... it's either burnt or undercook and if i cook it longer it burns... so what's the point of cooking if it doesn't work... i makan saja lah... once grocery shopping was done... time was 4.30... waited for his mom and granny to finish shopping stopped to tah pou nyonya kueh and makan cendol... eh now they dam stingy loh... they no longer use the big plastic bowl to put cendols anymore... they switch it to low-cost phewny styrofoam bowl... freaking small bowl and they charged RM1.70 for it... so kiam man... but it still tasted good... so can't complain so much... we started making the dessert thingy at 5-ish... and done at late 6-ish close to 7pm... so susah can? it was supposed to be easy... but i guess the choc that we bought wasn't the cream based one... it was plain choc... so it doesn't blend smoothly... which in the end of course doesn't look nice at all... and turns erm... coarse... like... rough... somewhat... first u boil the choc... and then u've gotta keep stirring it so it won't get burnt at the base... so erm... basically the whole time? i'm kinda chor teng there... he's like doing everything... and i err just stand there... i wanna help cut the fruits... but he has no small knives... his knives are those huge chef knives which u use to slice roasted meats... like freaking sharp and big... damn intimidating okay... and besides... i wouldn't wanna repeat the act of cutting my thumb again... so what i did was helping abit on stirring the choc... and i got impatient... cos the kitchen's hot... we were running out of time and the chocs wouldn't blend smoothly... bah... i hate kitchens... at one point... the chocs ran out cos we did trial and error we've gotta use the chocs he had in the fridge... which was the milky ones... so turns out... some strawberries were coated with bitter choc while some are sweet annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we wasted quite a number of green apples cos it's just not presentable enough to allow anyone to touch it... so we consume it sendiri... and remember there's still the white choc? well... we bought some cheesy ciplak brand white choc... it freaking turned out to be disgustingly sugar coated thingy... i tell u it's white choc in disguise man... and it cost like 3.69... kena con... never buy cheap chocs... i shall prove my statement to u with a pic of the "white chocolate" which part of that turns out white?? which part of that looked like white chocolate to u? the failed product some of the successful ones okay lah... it doesn't look good in pics... but it tasted great... who cares about the presentation wise anyways... gotta give some credits for the hardwork man Labels: Cravings-Yummylicious mun [
