Day 2 - 11th Aug 06' caught an early bus at 6.45am to the hotel... arrived approx 7-8 ish but wasn't able to check in till 10.30am... Ramada Seoul Hotel a 4 star hotel which truly live up to the standard... the beds are comfy and they gave us quilts without the brown piece of furry thingy that most hotels provided... another plus point to it was that it gaves us not 1 not 2 but THREE PILLOWS... muahahaahahaa happy-nya 4 star hotels really do practice customers satisfaction in mind... they even provided us with a solar weighing machine... which gave fake readings to make its people like me - happy... first weigh 55kg, second weigh 51.2kg... then 49kg, 48kg... it gets lesser and lesser each time!!!~ yay!!! i really love this hotel?! they do serve the best for its customers... anyhoo move along... first visit was to Lotte World Folk Museum... it's a museum which portrays the lives of the koreans from the past generations... how their lives were as the upper class as well as the peasants, weddings... etc etc etc... the subway drop off was at Lotte mall... it was huge with many intersections which goes to the theme park and museum... it feels like Rome here =) the entrance to the museum the hanok style restaurant located in the museum next stop... to Myungdong street... sort of like a youngsters street... where all the cool hip and trendy things were sold... even their lingerie shops are cutely interiored... else everything on the streets off the shops... were more or less like Petaling Street selling belts, socks, accessories etc... after much walk managed to find my grilled fish/sotong and banana milk which is a must to try... as shown in their soaps... roadplated on the ground showing the directions and i've managed to get my grilled fish/sotong & banana milk *sluurrrp* i've realised several differences in Seoul as compared to my last visit in 2002 - more people speak english difficult to find but there were, some speaks fluent (very minority) some speaks broken while some only knew certain words like - straight left right, during summer they seldom sell grilled fish/sotong which is why it takes me eons to finally found one, during summer they sell street food like beef sausages which is so yummy, sausage on stick coated with bread + crumbs, sausage on stick coated with bread + fries and fish paste mixed with green chilli on sticks... which tasted great too =) Labels: Vacation-ing mun [
