Working in Lot10 burns a hole in my wallet Wednesday, October 18, 2006
it has been eons since i stepped into Lot10 normally i don't go there unless i needed to... like in this case, because 1. it is all the way in KL 2. it costs so much to spend on transportation - to and fro by LRT & monorail costs me RM8.20 per day freaking expensive 3. hate to be sardined in both LRT & monorail - mainly monorail cos' it is slow and really sempit 4. the stuffs sold in Lot10 are expensive AND u have to pay to use their toilets - the "ordinary" toilets costs 30cents per entry which wasn't any cleaner than in 1U and 50cents per entry for a cleaner, classier and a more hotel-like looking interior toilet which situated a floor above... that's just crazy!!!~
first day of job i was cursing with all the additional costs that might leave me penniless by the end of the day, if that happens might as well not work at all right? after much budgetting and thank goodness for the staff-toilet-pass and also several nights of free rides back to kelana LRT station i managed to save some on my expenses... so yipppeee =) it wasn't so bad to work for this roadshow if u were to count... cos' the event of the day starts at 12pm and ends at 8 at night with 2 hours break for lunch and dinner which equates to only lets see... 6 working hours... 100 bucks per day... *count count* i earned about 16bux per hour... not bad ay... don't have to wake up early, nothing to set up, don't need to sell, no sales target... the cost to it was transportation and food which i confined myself to 5bux per day... which some days i survived on either lunch or dinner for only RM2.50... which in total i earned about RM89.30 per day... still ok lah...
Today was the last day of work and the unluckiest one of all... this time around we had this handwax treatment thingy whereby it will be done on the spot for customers who purchased RM150 above... mana tau it was so suay enough that, one of the photographer tripped over the extension and made the wax spilt all over the ground and also a little on the customer's pants when he was about to take a leave for lunch... it was that unlucky to bumped into a freaking b*tc*y singaporean who claimed her pants was from GUESS and that it was a LIMITED EDITION one... she was practically raising her voice at me too with a freaking b*t*hy look... believe me i would give her a big tight slap across her freaking face if it wasn't for spoiling the image of the company... blady hel' does she not know that it was an accident and that accidents do occur... moreover the photographer did apologise and wrote his contacts and his workplace incase of any claims...
she went ahead to lodge a complain at Isetan which permits her to purchase any pants in the photographer's expense... don't u see how unfair this is? 1st - Isetan allowed that *toot* to purchase ANY pants of her choice without his consent 2nd - Isetan did not consult him first on the budget for the purchase and 3rd - Isetan would not allow the him to keep her old pants in exchange for the new one...
why is this unfair? because... 1 - if the few dots of wax could be washed off (which most likely it will if u bring it to the laundry) isn't that a double bonus for her? 2 - Isetan did not asked him to set a fair price for both parties... imagine if there were ARMANI in there, i am pretty sure she would go for the most expensive pants she could find and 3. the incident happened OUTSIDE ISETAN not IN ISETAN why would they permit her to purchase anything under his expense in there? while our suggestion was to pay for a laundry cleaning in the first place
i did thought over if that happens to me and if i would react the same way... it would be a lie to say i would not be angry and it is impossible to forgive there and then... BUT if he appologised and offered to pay for the cleaning then it is alright moreover he gave his contact details and the place that he work, if there's anything u could still go claim from him what... if u say u're a tourist and wouldn't be able to get claims from him later, u could always go to the laundry now since we have plentiful of it and make a claim right away... why would u wanna make such a big fuss over such small matter... IT IS ONLY A FEW DOTS geeesshhh... i had that few dots of wax on my levis' too u don't see me complaining like u did!!!~ #$$^#$#@ plus u know what she did? while the photographer was cleaning the wax off the carpet she freaking threw the baby wipes at him LIKE WTF??? u think u're rich u could do that issit??? W.T.F!!!~ i wasn't there to see it happen cos she in her most annoying voice repeated several times asking me to purchase more baby wipes (i had only a few pieces left - that's for disinfecting the customers' hands before dipping them into the wax) and so i went off to sg wang to get some from watsons...
poor guy, he had to fork out 159bux for the MNG pants that she chose... thank goodness there weren't any more expensive brands in there... man... i don't think i can survive in the customer service line... unless it is my job i'll just swallow it in one big gulp and smile to such obnoxious people... puuuuuuiiiii... so yeah... i had a hard time scrubbing the wax from the machine =( and luckily there weren't many customers on the last day as there isn't much wax left...
